Swimmers Celebrate Season with Team Awards
At the end of season banquet two weeks ago, the Yale women's Swimming and Diving Team honored several swimmers with the traditional end of season awards. Seniors Chelsea Dunlap and Courtney Randolph, sophomores Eva Fabian, Emma Smith and Ali Stephens-Pickeral and freshmen Michelle Chintanaphol, Lilybet MacRae and Kina Zhou all received individual awards for their performances this season.

Larsen Named Captain for 2014-15
The Yale women's swimming and diving team has elected junior Elizabeth Larsen to be the team's captain for the 2014-15 season. Larsen is a history major in Trumbull College who hails from Richmond, Va. She will be assuming the role of captain from senior Chelsea Dunlap.

Yale Wraps Up At NCAAs
Yale's representatives at the 2014 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships wrapped up their events this weekend, with sophomore swimmer Eva Fabian competing in the 1,650-yard freestyle and freshman diver Lilybet MacRae taking part in the three-meter dive.

Yale Has Two Compete On Day One
Both of Yale’s representatives at the 2014 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships participated in the first day of competition on Thursday, with sophomore Eva Fabian competing in the 500-yard freestyle and freshman diver Lilybet MacRae taking part in the one-meter diving competition.

The Yale women’s swimming and diving team will be sending two athletes to compete in this weekend’s NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, held in Minneapolis, Minn. Sophomore distance freestyle swimmer Eva Fabian and freshman diver Lilybet MacRae will be representing the Bulldogs in competition at NCAAs.

MacRae Qualifies for NCAAs
Freshman diver Lilybet MacRae has qualified for the 2014 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships following her excellent performance on Day Two of the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships. MacRae finished third in Tuesday's three-meter competition, one day after finishing third in the one-meter competition.

Yale Has Nine Named To All-Ivy Teams
The All-Ivy Swimming and Diving Teams were announced on Wednesday, with Yale boasting four All-Ivy First Team recipients (in five events), more than any other school in the league. Yale also tied for the most individual All-Ivy Second Team recipients in the league with five and had a relay team earn Second Team honors as well.

Yale Honored as CSCAA Scholar All-America Team
The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced the 2013 Fall CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams on Wednesday, and the Yale women’s swimming and diving team finished 16th among all Division I schools in the country. Yale finished above all seven other Ivy League schools.

Bulldogs Finish Ivies in Third Place
Competition wrapped up today at the 2014 Ivy League Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships, as Yale finished in third place with 1163.5 points. Harvard finished in first place with 1409 points, with Princeton in second with 1384 points.

Yale Sitting in Third Place After Day Two
After two days of competition, the Yale women’s swimming and diving team sits in third place at the 2014 Ivy League Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships with 739 points. Harvard is in first place with 952 points, followed by Princeton in second with 924 points. The Bulldogs came into the day in third place with 351 points, 90 points behind first-place Princeton.

The Yale women’s swimming and diving team is traveling to Providence, R.I., to compete in the 2014 Ivy League Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships, which begin on Thursday. In last year’s meet, the Bulldogs finished in fourth place, a result that Yale is keen to improve on this year.

The Yale women’s swimming and diving team won its final regular season meet on Saturday, traveling to Providence, R.I., to defeat Brown by a score of 156-144. Following the come-from-behind victory over the Bears, the Bulldogs can look ahead towards the Ivy League Championship meet in two weeks.

The 2014 HYP swimming meet wrapped up on Sunday, as the Yale women’s swimming team finished up behind both Harvard and Princeton in the two-day meet. The Bulldogs were outscored by the Crimson 195-105 and finished behind the Tigers 179-121.

Bulldogs Wrap Up First Day vs. Harvard, Princeton
The Yale women’s swimming and diving team concluded the first day of competition vs. Harvard and Princeton Saturday at Kiphuth Exhibition Pool. The Bulldogs showcased their strength in the distance events, taking three of the top five spots in the 1000 free -- including a first-place finish for sophomore Eva Fabian (9:56.90). Freshman Isla Hutchinson-Maddox was third (10:00.14) and sophomore Casey Lincoln was fifth (10:09.60).

The Yale women’s swimming and diving team continued its torrid start to the 2014 calendar year, beating the University of New Hampshire by a tight margin of 156.5 to 143.5. The Wildcats had been undefeated heading into the meet.

Following a weekend off from competition, the Yale women’s swimming and diving team is back in action on Friday, Jan. 24, when it travels to Durham, N.H., to take on the University of New Hampshire Wildcats. It will be the Bulldogs’ final tune-up before the two-day tri-meet with Harvard and Princeton.

Bulldogs Open 2014 with 181-116 Win vs. Cornell
The Yale women’s swimming and diving team won its first home meet of the season today, prevailing 181-116 against Cornell. It was a dominant performance for the Bulldogs, who won 11 of 16 events. Yale improves to 1-1 in Ivy League dual meets with the win, and remains unbeaten at home since the 2010-11 season.

Following three hard-fought days at Princeton’s Big Al Open, the Yale women’s swimming and diving team finished second. In a truly impressive early season performance for a young squad, the Bulldogs totaled 961 points over three days of competition, ahead of everyone but defending Ivy League champion Princeton, with 1113 points.

Through two days of Princeton’s Big Al Open invitational, the Yale women’s swimming and diving team is showing very impressive speed for this early point in the season. Following the second day of action, the Bulldogs are still in second place with 656 points, behind Princeton with 721 points. Both teams are well in front of third-place Dartmouth.

The Yale women’s swimming and diving team sits in second place after the first day of Princeton’s Big Al Open invitational. The Bulldogs delivered strong performances in each of Friday’s five events and sit within striking distance of the Tigers with two days of competition left. Princeton leads with 281 points, Yale is second with 258 points and Dartmouth is in third with 183 points.

The Yale women’s swimming and diving team started Thanksgiving Break off with an impressive meet, beating both the University of Bridgeport and Sacred Heart. The Bulldogs topped the host Bridgeport Knights by a score of 100-79 and beat the Pioneers 107-76.

Bulldogs Fall to Lions in First Ivy Matchup
The Yale women’s swimming and diving team dropped its first Ivy League matchup of the season to Columbia. Despite falling to the Lions, Yale’s swimmers and divers had a number of strong performances, managing to win seven of sixteen events. The final score was 185-115.

Following a home victory over Southern Connecticut State last weekend, the Yale women’s swimming and diving team will travel to New York City on Friday to face Columbia in the Bulldog’s first Ivy League test of the young season. Fabian Wins Bronze at FINA World Championships
Rising sophomore Eva Fabian competed in the FINA World Open Water Swimming Championships in Barcelona today, winning the bronze medal in an unbelievably close race. Italy’s Martina Grimaldi touched first in 5:07:19.7, only .1 seconds ahead of Germany’s Angela Alexander Maurer and .7 seconds ahead of Fabian.

Levere Medals at Maccabiah Games
Rising junior Jacqui Levere wrapped up a very successful performance at the 2013 Maccabiah Games, winning one gold and two bronze medals. She was part of the U.S. relay team that finished first in the 4x200m freestyle relay and won individual bronze medals in the 100- and 200-meter breaststroke.

Levere to Compete in Maccabiah Games
Yale junior Jacqui Levere will be representing Team USA in the pool this summer, participating in the swimming competition at the 2013 Maccabiah Games. The Games, which opened on Thursday, are a quadrennial sporting event, held in Jerusalem and open to Jewish athletes from around the world. This year’s edition of the games features a record number of athletes—close to 9,000—from a record number of countries—78. The athletes will be competing for medals in 42 different sports.
