NEW HAVEN, Conn.--The Yale women's swimming and diving team will head to an invitational meet this weekend, just before the Thanksgiving holiday. The swimmers and divers will travel to the Ohio State Invitational to compete Nov. 17-19. This invitational format meet will be a great opportunity for the Bulldogs to prepare for the length and intensity of the championship meet at the end of the season.
The Bulldogs will face several teams with talented members that have been in the top-25 national rankings this season. At the Ohio State Invitational, the Bulldogs will compete against Florida Gulf Coast, Kentucky, Kenyon, Marshall, NC State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Washington State and West Virginia.
Yale won against Penn State in a tri-meet last season, but the Bulldogs have not competed against any of the other teams in recent years. The meet will be an excellent chance for Yale to assess its depth and early-season success.
Stay up-to-date with the Bulldogs during competition via Facebook, Twitter and daily meet recaps on the team website.
