NEW HAVEN, Conn.--The Yale women's swimming and diving team, Ivy dual meet champion this season, is prepared for the biggest competition of the year, the Ivy League Championships. The meet will begin on Wednesday and carry on for four days.
Last year at the Championships, the Bulldogs won the title, a feat they had not accomplished since 1997. The team pulled ahead of Harvard and won with a total score of 1,681 points. The Bulldogs finished strong, setting 12 Yale records and five Ivy League records.
Competition will be held at the Blodgett Pool at Harvard in Cambridge, Mass. It begins with two relay events on Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. and will continue with three days of prelim-final competition from Thursday to Saturday, with prelim swimming sessions beginning at 11:00 a.m., prelim diving sessions at 1:30 p.m. and final sessions beginning at 6:00 p.m.
