  • Yale Honors Six with Awards at Senior Student-Athlete Reception
    May 18, 2019
    Six seniors were honored by the Yale Athletics Department with awards at the annual senior student-athlete reception Saturday afternoon at the Lanman Center in Payne Whitney Gymnasium. Trey Phills (Charlotte, N.C.) of the men’s basketball team and Kate Zendell (Suffern, N.Y.) of the women’s cross country and track and field teams were the recipients of the Ford Student-Athlete Community Outreach Award. Carrie Heilbrun (Fairfax Station, Va.) of the women’s swimming and diving team and Simon Whiteman (Trumbull, Conn.) of the baseball team were the recipients of the Kiphuth Student-Athlete Distinction Award. Shelby Kennedy (Vail, Ariz.) of the softball team and James Kochanski (Colorado Springs, Colo.) of the men’s soccer team were the recipients of the Meyer Humanitarian Award.
  • Bulldogs Welcome USC Transfer Caitlin Tycz

    This coming fall, the Yale women’s swimming and diving team will welcome transfer student Caitlin Tycz. The former USC Trojan is a rising junior, and will immediately become one of the Bulldogs’ strongest butterflyers and sprint freestylers.
  • Bulldogs Continue NCAA Academic Excellence

    Thirteen Yale teams have been recognized for academic excellence after scoring in the top 10 percent of their sports in the most recent Academic Progress Rate results.
  • Brent Named 2019-2020 Captain

    The Yale women’s swimming and diving team held its annual team banquet on Wednesday night, and junior Kendall Brent was named team captain for the 2019-2020 season. Brent will follow senior Sophie Pilkinton as the captain for the Bulldogs.

    Bella Hindley of the Yale women's swimming and diving team competed in the 100-yard freestyle on the final day of the NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships. Hindley finished 29th in the event.
  • Hindley Finishes Top 20 on Day One

    Senior Bella Hindley of the Yale women's swimming and diving team represented the Bulldogs well on Thursday at the NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships. Swimming the 50-yard freestyle, Hindley finished 20th overall.

  • Hindley Representing Bulldogs at Division I National Championships

    Bella Hindley of the Yale women’s swimming and diving team will represent the Bulldogs at the 2019 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships later this month. The championships will take place at the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin, Texas from March 20-23. Hindley will be one of 281 swimmers at the meet.
  • More Honors For Hindley, Bulldogs Place Second At Ivy League Championship

    It was a memorable final day for Yale’s Bella Hindley at the Ivy League Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship. Hindley was the recipient of the Career High Point Swimmer Award, shared the High Point Swimmer of the Meet Award and won the 100-yard freestyle.
  • Yale Within Striking Distance Heading into Final Day At Ivy Championships

    The Yale women’s swimming and diving team enjoyed another successful day at the Ivy League Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships and will head into the final day of the meet in second place. Harvard sits in first with 988 points, while Yale has 931.50. No other team has more than 800 points.

    The Yale women’s swimming and diving team had a successful second day at the Ivy League Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday. The Bulldogs sit in second place with 495.5 points. Harvard is first with 526.5 points.

    The Yale women’s swimming and diving team began its quest for a second Ivy League Championship within the past three seasons on Wednesday. Swimming at Denunzio Pool in Princeton, N.J., the Bulldogs kicked off day one of the 2018 Ivy League Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships.

    After completing its third consecutive undefeated regular season, the Yale women’s swimming and diving team is looking to reclaim the Ivy League Championship crown this weekend. The Ivy League Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships are set to take place Feb. 20-23 at DeNunzio Pool in Princeton, New Jersey.
  • Yale Completes Third Consecutive Undefeated Regular Season

    The Yale women’s swimming and diving team capped off its third consecutive undefeated season on Saturday, taking down both Harvard and Princeton on the second day of the HYP meet. Yale won 182.5-117.5 over the Crimson and 186-114 over the Tigers.

    The Yale women’s swimming and diving team will compete in the annual HYP meet this weekend. The meet, which will take place at Blodgett Pool in Cambridge, Mass., will be the Bulldogs’ final meet before the Ivy League Championships in February.

    The Yale women’s swimming and diving team was victorious against Cornell this weekend, taking first place in every single event. Led by their senior divers, Talbott Paulsen and Hannah Walsh, the Bulldogs won by a score of 232-68 and improved to 8-0 on the season.

    The Yale women's swimming and diving team opened the new year with a pair of victories over Dartmouth and Penn this Thursday and Friday at Sheerr Pool. In the tri-meet, the Bulldogs triumphed over the Big Green 244–56 and defeated the Quakers 237–63.

    For the third consecutive season, the Yale women’s swimming and diving team will kick off the new year with a tri-meet against Penn and Dartmouth. The team will head to Penn’s home pool in Philadelphia, Penn., to face these two Ivy League foes.

    The Yale women’s swimming and diving team had an incredibly successful meet on Thursday against Southern Connecticut. In all but one individual event, two Bulldogs swam. In all but that same event, the Bulldogs finished first and second.

    For the first time in almost a month, the Yale women’s swimming and diving team will be competing in a dual meet on Thursday. Although it is not a home meet, the Bulldogs will be swimming in New Haven, as they face Southern Connecticut State University.
