NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Yale women's swimming and diving team will head to Columbus, Ohio this weekend. The Bulldogs will be competing at the Ohio State Invitational, which will take place over the course of three days.
After placing fifth overall at the invitational last year, the Bulldogs are aiming even higher this year. However, they are facing tough competition. Yale will be swimming against Kentucky, Kenyon, Notre Dame, Ohio, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Stanford and West Virginia. Stanford is currently ranked as the second best team in the nation, and Notre Dame is currently ranked 13th. Also in the top 25 are Ohio State (15) and Kentucky (18).
Ohio and Stanford are the only two of those teams that did not compete in the invitational last year.
In diving competition, the Bulldogs will compete against Toledo and the eight teams listed above.
