A NAC swimmer for 10 years, Annie is a member of the travel team
and has competed at both spring and summer sectional meets as well
as the American Short Course Championship in Austin, TX. As a
member of her high-school team, she received All-American honors in
the 200 free her senior year. Her team's two freestyle relays also
were All-American all four years during which she raced on them. In
high school, Annie was salutatorian of her class and president of
her school's Cum Laude chapter. She played violin in her school
orchestra and was an editor on the newspaper. Her senior year she
was named an Academic All-American. She has 3 younger siblings, all
of whom swim. Annie's proudest athletic moment was leading her
high-school team to a 7-peat State championship her senior year,
which broke the record for the number of titles ever won by a
girls' school swim team in TN. Annie chose Yale because of its
diverse student body, vibrant intellectual atmosphere and excellent
swimming program.
