|High School:||Bethlehem Central High School|
Becca started swimming competitively at the age of 12, and she quickly fell in love with the sport and her local swim team the Delmar Dolfins. In her freshman year of high school, she won third place at States in the 100y backstroke event, and this was the start of a great varsity experience for her. Captain of her varsity team in her senior year, Becca led the Bethlehem Eagles to their first Section 2 victory in 19 years. This was her most memorable athletic experience. She was named Section 2 MVP for two years in a row, and Section 2 Scholar-Athlete in her senior year. She went undefeated in her high school meets, and won the Diane-Klein award of her club team. Becca started out her swimming career focused on backstroke, but she developed into a freestyle sprinter. She also loves relays. Becca chose Yale because she loved the students, the swim team, the academics, and the amazing opportunities available. Though she enjoys every second of her time at Yale, Becca is also missing her amazing family. Her parents, her two younger brothers, and her black lab Lily are always on her mind. She also loves the beach, the Adirondacks, and her friends.
