Bulldogs Finish Fourth in Ivy Championships

Princeton, NJ - The Bulldogs finished fourth place with 986 points in the Ivy League Championships Saturday at Princeton, NJ. Yale passed Penn on the third and final day to grab fourth place.

In the 1650 freestyle, freshman Brittany Iacouzze and junior Laura Strittmatter finished in fourth and fifth place, respectively. Iacouzze earned Yale 26 points in a time of 16:43.70 and Strittmatter earned the Bulldogs 25 points with a time of 16:48.70.

Senior Laura Aronsson took 17th place in 2:05.49 to grab 9 points for the Bulldogs in the 200-back finals. Junior Brenna Davis finished 19th with a time of 2:05.60 to earn the Bulldogs 6 points.

In the 100-freestyle, junior Alexis Mann took 12th in 51.68 to earn the Bulldogs 15 points. Sophomore Andrea Clifford took 13th place and earned 13 points for Yale with a time of 51.72.

Sophomore Susan Kim earned Yale 27 points with a 3rd place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke. Kim finished the race in 2:15.68. Junior Marilee Kiernan finished in 5th place to earn 25 points for Yale with a time of 2:19.06.

In the 200-yard butterfly, freshman Ileana Lucos took 5th place in a time of 2:03.06 to grab 25 points for the Bulldogs.

Senior Ali Jones took 8th place in the 3-meter diving with a score of 233.40 to grab 22 points for the Bulldogs.

Yale concluded the day in the 400-yard freestyle with a fourth place finish in a time of 3:26.93. Lucos, Clifford, freshman Becca Stern, and Mann earned Yale 52 points in the race.
