Yale swimming and diving won 11 out of the 16 events at Saturday's dual meet, earning victories against SCSU (219-75) and Maine (189-110).
Juniors Moira McCloskey and Meg Gill each won two events. Both were part of the winning 200 Yard Medley Relay team, along with fellow juniors Liz Berger and Kirsten Cartsoki, which clocked in at 1:49.74. McCloskey also won the 100 Butterfly with a time of 59.37, only about half a second ahead of second place Bulldog Katelyn Kane '08, who finished at 1:00.02. Gill won the 200 Butterfly with a time of 2:09.42.
Yale also took the top two spots in the 1000 Freestyle, Megan Bailey finishing with 10:31.40 and Blake Walsh '09 with 10:34.74. Three freshmem also had top finishes, as Kate French won the 100 Breaststroke with 1:07.99, Marin Foley won the 50 Freestyle with 25.81, and Marilee Kiernan took the 200 Breaststroke with 2:25.55.
The Bulldogs swept the top four spots in two events. Laura Strittmatter '09 won the 500 Freestyle with 5:08.76, with Laura Aronsson '08 (5:08.93), Chase Butler '07 (5:13.07) and Emily Cole '09(5:13.40) close behind. Nicole Swaney '08 won the 100 Freestyle with 54.1, with Christina Person '09 (54.51), Cartoski (55.40) and French (55.55) taking the next three spots.
Diver Liz Foglesong '07 placed first in the 1 meter event and second in the 3 meter event, while Ali Jones '08 won the 3 meter and placed second in the 1 meter event.
The Bulldogs head to Fairfax, VA this weekend for the Patriot Invite.
