Bulldogs Sit In Third Place After Day One Of The Patriot Invitational

With 171 points, the Bulldogs sit in third place after the opening day of the Patriot Invite hosted by George Mason University in Virginia. Duke is currently in first place with 206 points, while UMBC is in second with 198 points.

Moira McCloskey took home a second place finish for the Bulldogs in the 200-yard individual medley (2:04.99). In the 50-yard freestyle, Alexis Mann and Meg Gill tied for fourth place thanks to a time of 24.26.

Yale's relay teams also did well on Friday. It's 400-yard medley relay `A' team of McCloskey, Marilee Kiernan, Blake Walsh and Mann finished third with a time of 3:55.49 and its `B' team of Brenna Davis, Katie French, Liz Berger and Gill came in sixth (3:57.95).

In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Gill, Chase Butler, Kirsten Cartoski and Mann teamed up to take home a fourth place finish (1:38.13).

Day two of the event will begin tomorrow at 10 a.m.
