Yale Trails After Day One of H-Y-P

Yale trailed both Harvard and Princeton after the first nine events of the annual Harvard-Yale-Princeton swimming meet on Friday evening in New Haven. All three teams were undefeated going into the dual meet which will decide the 2005 regular season Ivy League champion.

After nine events, Yale trailed Harvard 53.50-115.50 and Princeton 51-108. Harvard also led Princeton 101-68.

Yale's top finisher of the night was sophomore Moria McCloskey who won the 100 Backstroke with a time of 56.28, setting a new record for Kiputh Pool.

Competition continues with two sessions tomorrow, the first beginning at 1 pm and the night session beginning at 6 pm.
