NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Ivy League announced women's tennis awards Wednesday, with five players from the league champion Yale squad making the Second Team.  Junior Vicky Brook, sophomore Elizabeth Epstein and freshman Blair Seideman, who played at Nos. 1-3 for Yale, all made the Second Team, as well as the No. 1 doubles team of freshman Annie Sullivan and senior Lindsay Clark.

Brook played the entire season at No. 1 for Yale, picking up a pair of wins in league play to improve to 14-6 all-time in Ivy matches.  She also won her match in the finals of the ECAC tournament vs. Princeton as the Bulldogs won their third straight ECAC title.

Epstein also had an outstanding season, playing at No. 2, finishing with a 19-6 record and a 4-3 match in the Ivy League.  She was nationally ranked for most of the season and had seven- and five-match win streaks in the middle of the season.

Seideman finished with a 20-4 mark and went 7-0 in Ivy League play.  She got stronger as the season went on, finishing the year with a 10-match win streak and wins in 16 of 17 matches.

The doubles team of Sullivan and Clark wasn't formed until after Ivy League play had already began, but the duo went 4-1, including crucial victories in the season's final two weeks against Dartmouth and Brown.

As a team, No. 31 Yale finished 6-1 in the Ivy League this season, tied for first place with Dartmouth.  The number of players that made the All-Ivy squad bore out that strength while also emphasizing the bright future of the team, as four of the five players honored will return next season.
