NEW HAVEN, Conn.  The No. 32-ranked Yale women's tennis team will be headed to Columbia this weekend for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division I Women's Indoor Tennis Championships. The Bulldogs enter the tournament as the top seed and four-time reigning champions.

Yale started its season in late January at the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Ann Arbor, Mich. Led by the dominant play of sophomore Madeleine Hamilton at No. 1, the Bulldogs pulled off an upset over then-No. 28 Tulsa. In the second round of the four-team tournament, Yale took a tough loss against No. 11 Michigan, the event's host. The Bulldogs have had the last couple weeks to rest and prepare for their next matches.

This year's ECAC Indoor Championships features exclusively Ivy programs; joining Yale at the tournament are Brown, No. 51 Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth and No. 69 Princeton. As the tournament's top seed, the Bulldogs will receive a bye in the first round and face the winner of Brown and Cornell in the semifinals.

The Bulldogs' first match will be played Saturday at 3:00 p.m. Should they advance to the finals, they will play again Sunday at 1:00 p.m. For more information on the tournament, please click here
