No. 34 Women’s Tennis Blanks Boston University

NEW HAVEN, Conn. —Sunday the Yale women's tennis team blanked Boston University in an afternoon matchup at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center. All six singles matches were decided in two sets.

The Bulldogs got the ball rolling early with doubles wins at No. 1 by sophomores Madeleine Hamilton and Ree Ree Li and at No. 2 by freshman Sherry Li and junior Hanna Yu. Sophomore Courtney Amos and senior captain Annie Sullivan also earned a win at No. 3 doubles. 

From top to bottom at singles, it was Hamilton, Ree Ree Li, Sullivan, Yu, Sherry Li and Amos who all defeated their Boston University opponents. Sullivan had the closest match of the day, winning a tiebreaker in the first set before taking the second 6-4. 

Yale will be back in action this weekend at the Blue Gray Invite in Montgomery, Ala.
