Total Mortgage Spotlight Athlete of the Week: Hanna Yu

Hanna Yu continued her hot-streak at the top position as the No. 49-ranked Yale women's tennis team defeated arch-rival Harvard this past weekend. Yu, performing at the top position for the Bulldogs, earned herself this week's Total Mortgage Spotlight Athlete of the Week award.

Yu has contributed to the Bulldogs' success the minute she stepped foot on campus. Beginning her freshman season ranked No. 3 in Northeast Region, she posted an impressive 26-10 singles record. Her victory against Dartmouth clinched an Ivy League Title for the Bulldogs.  The following year, she achieved a 25-10 singles record and a 6-1 record in Ivy League play.  One of the many highlights of her sophomore season came when she defeated No. 38 Nazari Urbina of Texas A&M in the Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships.

Yu, an economic major from Northbrook Illinois, earned the distinction of ITA Scholar Athlete in 2012. She has also been a part of two ITA All-Academic Teams.

Come check out Yu and her teammates this Saturday as they look to finish off their season strong against Brown. The match is set to start at 12 p.m. at the Yale Tennis Center.
