Yale to Take on Cornell and Columbia

Bulldogs to Play Last Two Matches of the Season

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's tennis team will finish the 2016-17 season at home with two matches against Cornell and Columbia this weekend.

In their most recent match, the Bulldogs dominated at doubles against Penn. Junior Carol Finke and sophomore Amy Yang won in the No. 2 spot, while senior Caroline Lynch and junior Sunday Swett claimed a victory on court 3. Lynch also picked up a win at No. 5 singles.

Yale also played Princeton last weekend. Yang and juniors Valerie Shklover and Elizabeth Zordani each contributed a point to Yale's score after defeating their respective singles opponents. Zordani's victory extended her winning streak to four matches before she fell to Penn in a close three-set competition.

The Bulldogs will take the courts against Cornell on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. before playing their last match of the season against Columbia on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
