Woodbridge, CT - The No. 73 Bulldogs (1-0) opened their spring season in a big way with a 7-0 victory over Quinnipiac Sunday in Woodbridge. Yale won every match en route to the win.

At No. 1 singles, junior Janet Kim defeated Jackie Herb 6-2, 6-2. Sophomore Jessica Rhee pulled of a straight set 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 2 singles. At the No. 3 slot, sophomore Sarah Lederhandler cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win over Amanda Petruzzi.

Freshmen powered the bottom part of the Bulldog's singles lineup. Freshman Stevi Petrelli, in her Yale spring season debut, defeated Lisanne Steinert 6-0, 6-2 at No. 4 singles. At No. 5 singles, freshman Lindsay Clark defeated Shawna Sarson 6-1, 6-0. Freshman Lauren Ritz took care of Kasey Rosenberger with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 6 singles.

The Bulldogs won the doubles point with a complete sweep of all three matches. No. 50 Ritz and Clark took the No. 1 victory with an 8-2 victory. At No. 2 doubles, Rhee and Petrelli won 8-2. Kim and Lederhandler took care of business at No. 3 doubles with an 8-1 win.
