New Haven, CT - Yale won three singles matches against Wake Forest at Cullman Courts, including a straight-set win by Reshmi Srinath at No. 3, but fell to the Demon Deacons 4-3. Wake Forest swept the doubles competition and won at Nos. 1, 2 and 5 in singles to hand Yale its first loss of the season.
The closest match of the day came at No. 2 singles, where Yale's Karlyn Martin pushed Wake Forest's Katie Martzlof to a third set before falling 6-1. Martin's twin sister Ashley won 6-1, 6-4 at No. 4 singles and Yale also got a win at No. 6 singles from Aimee Kim.
Yale next plays the Univeristy of Nebraska (Lincoln) in Columbus, Ohio Saturday February 21 at 10:00 AM. The Bulldogs play at Ohio State the following day.
