Yale Defeats Dartmouth 5-2

HANOVER, N.H. - No. 63 Yale advanced to the finals of the ECAC Championships with a 5-2 victory Saturday over Dartmouth in Hanover. The Bulldogs will face No. 52 Princeton in the finals Sunday at 1 p.m.

Playing No. 1 singles, senior Janet Kim cruised to a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Molly Scott. Freshman Vicky Brook stepped up to the No. 2 spot and responded with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Mary Beth Winningham. At No. 3 singles, junior Jessica Rhee defeated Jesse Adler 6-3, 6-3.

Sophomore Stevi Petrelli rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles over Georgina Smyser. Playing No. 5 singles, junior Sarah Lederhandler defeated Carly Markowitz 6-2, 6-3.
