No. 51 Yale Falls to No. 16 Vanderbilt 6-1

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - No. 51 Yale fell to 6-2 after losing to No. 16 Vanderbilt 6-1 in Nashville Saturday. Senior Janet Kim came up with the lone victory for the Bulldogs in the loss.

Playing No. 1 singles for the Bulldogs, Kim won 6-2, 5-7, (10-4) over Catherine Newman, the No. 28 ranked singles player in the nation.

Both Vanderbilt's No. 2 and No. 3 singles player are also ranked in the ITA Division I singles rankings.

Sophomore Lindsay Clark's match also went three sets before Clark had to retire early from the match.

The Bulldogs will face No. 22 Tennessee Sunday.
