Elis Top Eagles in New Haven

New Haven, CT - The Yale women's tennis team (6-0) remained undefeated with a 5-2 victory over Boston College on Friday afternoon in New Haven. The Elis dominated singles play, winning five of the six solo contests after dropping the doubles point.

Captain Stephanie White led the way, cruising to a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Boston College's Caitlin Arnould at No. 5. Rashmee Patil also made quick work of her opponent, Nida Waseem, at No. 2, winning 6-1, 6-2.

In No. 1 singles, the Eagles' Szilvia Szegedi gave Yale's Reshmi Srinath a tough test, but the Bulldog senior pulled out the 6-4, 7-6 victory.

In doubles play, Yale's top team of Christine Alford and Aimee Kim scored the Elis' only win, with an 8-2 triumph.

The Elis are off until a road trip to California, which commences on March 8 at the University of California Irvine.
