No. 77 Yale Posts 5-2 Victory Over Syracuse

With Aimee Kim, Olivia Nix, and Steph White all winning in doubles and singles play, the No. 77 Bulldogs defeated Syracuse 5-2 in a home match at Cullman Courts. Yale swept all three doubles matches and won the No. 3 through No. 6 singles matches to earn the victory.

In singles, Reshmi Srinath easily dispatched Jessica Scholosser 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 3 spot, while Nix was a 6-2, 6-4 winner over Wei-Ming Leong at No. 4. White handily defeated Kendyl Severino 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 and Aimee Kim wrapped up Yale's fourth singles victory with her 6-1, 6-3 defeat of Marion Charlier.

In the No. 1 match, Karlyn Martin fell to Trine Lise Juliussen in a 6-3, 7-6 (4) game, and Christine Alford dropped the No. 2 match to Ashley Lipton 6-1, 5-7, 10-6.

In doubles action, Martin and Alford defeated Juliussen and Leong 9-8 at the No. 1, and Kim and Rashmee Patil were 8-0 victors over Lipton and Severino in the No. 2 position. White and Nix completed the doubles sweep with an 8-2 victory over Scholosser and Charlier.

The Bulldogs go on the road over spring break before returning home for an April 9th match against Princeton that kicks off the Ivy League season.
