Yale Sweeps UNC Greensboro, 7-0

The Yale women's tennis team lost only one set en route to a 7-0 victory over UNC Greensboro at the UNCG Tennis Courts in Greensboro, N.C., on Wednesday afternoon. The win improves Yale's mark to 5-5.

Karlyn Martin paced the Bulldogs, playing at the number-one spot in both singles and in doubles with Ashley Martin. Karlyn defeated UNCG's Lindsey Peel in straight sets, 7-6, 6-4 and won with Ashley 6-2, 6-4 in doubles over Peel and Emily Wade.

Christine Alford, Reshmi Srinath, Rashmee Patil, Stephanie White and Aimee Kim all won in singles play in spots two through six respectively. White earned a 1-6, 6-2, 6-2 comeback victory over Sophie Rychlik, while Kim won in impressive fashion over Lourdes Moran without losing a game.

The Bulldogs, ranked No. 75 in the nation, return to action to face No. 5 Duke in Durham, N.C., tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m.
