No. 71 Bulldogs Fall to San Diego

San Diego, CA - Despite winning all three doubles matches, Yale (4-6) could not manage to defeat San Diego (3-12) Saturday. Sophomore Janet Kim and freshman Jessica Rhee also picked up victories for the Bulldogs in the loss.

Yale won the doubles point as No. 1 doubles seniors Christine Alford and Olivia Nix cruised to an 8-2 victory in their match. The freshmen team of Rhee and Sarah Lederhandler handled their opponents at No. 2 doubles 8-4. Also Kim and junior Lindsey Dashiell rolled to an 8-4 victory at No. 3 doubles.

At No. 1 singles, Kim won in straight sets over Monica Weisner 6-2, 6-2. Rhee, playing at No. 4 singles, also managed to pull off a straight set victory. She topped Zoe Taylor 6-0, 6-4.

Yale will square off against Marshall March 21.
