Martin Twins Shine as Bulldogs Down Tigers 6-1

The Elis won all five singles matches in straight sets and dropped only two doubles matches to defeat Princeton 6-1 in New Haven. The Bulldogs face Penn tomorrow at home.

Yale dominated all six singles matches, with Christine Alford beating Princeton's Darcy Robertson 6-4. 6-2 in the top position and Karlyn Marin defeating Alison Hashmall 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2.

Reshmi Srinath was a 6-0, 6-2 victor over Jessica Siebel, while Stephanie Berg lost to Yale's Ashley Martin 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4. Rounding out the Eli lineup was Rashmee Patil and Stephanie White, both of whom defeated their Princeton opponents. Patil won 7-5, 6-4 in a close match to Laura Trimble, while White defeated Rankin Williams 6-1, 6-3 to round out Yale's singles matches.

In doubles, the Martins were the only Yale team to win their doubles match, coming in as 8-5 victors. Aimee Kim and Patil fell 9-7, while Alford and Olivia Nix lost 8-3.

The Bulldogs host Penn Saturday.
