Yale Devastates Dartmouth

New Haven, CT - The women's tennis team defeated Dartmouth Sunday afternoon on the Cullman Courts. The Elis claimed the doubles point and won four of the singles matches to win the match 5-2. Today's win gives the Elis a 12-6 overall record and bumps their Ivy record to 3-3.
Olivia Nix and Stephanie White claimed the No. 3 doubles spot 8-6. Reshmi Srinath and Rashmee Patil easily won the No. 2 doubles match 8-1, clinching the doubles point for Yale.
In singles play, Nix went on to secure the No. 6 spot, coming back strong in the last two sets to win the match 1-6, 6-4, 6-1. Aimee Kim battled it out with Margaret Fitchet for the No. 3 game. Kim won the first set 7-5, was set back in the second 1-6, then came back in the third set to clinch the game 10-7.
Patil and Christine Alford both won their matches in straight sets. Alford easily won the No. 4 singles game 6-2, 6-2. Patil continued the dominance she showed during her doubles match to claim the No. 2 spot 6-2, 6-3.
The Bulldogs will travel to Providence on Wed., Apr. 27 to compete against Brown.
