Yale Sends Solid Squad to Maryland Invitational

College Park, MD - The Yale women's tennis team will compete against six other teams today to advance to the quarterfinal round of the Maryland Invitational.

Aimee Kim '07, who won the B flight of the Yale Invitational last weekend, was given a bye to advance to the quarterfinal round. Kim is seeded number 1 in the B flight.

In the A flight, Janet Kim `09 is set to play Kiki Stastny of Notre Dame, and Rashmee Patil '07 is to play Lauren Connelly of Notre Dame.

Christina Cutter '09 will battle against Maria Ring of WSU to advance to the quarterfinals of the C flight. Olivia Nix '07, received a bye to automatically advance to the quarterfinals.

Lilian Nguyen '09 was given a bye in the D flight and will advance to the quarterfinals tomorrow. Karolina Grygierowska `09 will play Kara Konomos of WSU.

In doubles action, J Kim and A Kim, and the duo of Nix and Patil, will compete for Yale in the A flight. Cutter and Ashley Miles '09 will play in the B flight. Grygierowska and Nguyen will represent Yale in the C flight.

Complete quarterfinal results will be available tomorrow. Yale will be back in action tomorrow morning in College Park.
