Playing in the White Singles bracket, Nix ousted Maria Braniecka of SMU, 6-1, 6-2 in the quarters and will face Rice's Dominique Karas for a chance to play in the final.

In doubles, Patil and Kim posted an 8-2 win against a pair of Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners and will face a Northwestern team in Saturday's quarterfinals. Srinath and Vartikar also ousted a UTSA pair and will face a TCU squad next.
