Reshmi Srinath Wins C Singles Bracket at Rice Tennis Classic

With a 6-2, 6-3 victory over teammate Rashmee Patil, Reshmi Srinath claimed the C Singles title at the Rice Tennis Classic in Houston, Texas.

A flight doubles entrants Karlyn Martin and Ashley Martin made it to the finals, but fell 8-3 to SMU's Kit Carson and Svetlana Kouzmenko.

Stephanie White and Christine Alford won the consolation championships of the A Doubles bracket, defeating Medeja Egic and Tatyana Bula from Lee 8-1.

Meanwhile, Srinath and Patil teamed up to take the B Doubles consolation finals from Rice's Vallalobos and Black in an 8-4 game.

In other consolation action, Karlyn Martin defeated Celine VanWeydeveld, 6-1, 6-3.

The Bulldogs travel to Providence next weekend to compete in the Brown Invitational.
