Ritz and Clark Fall in All-American Championships

Los Angeles, CA - American Championships Prequalifying Doubles Tournament Sunday to Brittany Blalock and Steffi Wong of Cal Poly at UCLA.
Earlier Sunday, Clark and Ritz defeated TCU's Kewa Nichols and Nina Munch-Soegaard 8-4. Then in the final match of the Prequalifying tournament, Blalock and Wong defeated Clark and Ritz 8-0.
Despite the loss in the finals, Head Coach Danielle Lund said the two freshmen will take a lot away from the weekend and the final match against the tough opponent.
"They played well," Lund said. "It was a great experience for them. They learned a lot. It was a valuable experience to say the least."
The Bulldogs will be competing in the USTA Invite next Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
