Flushing, N.Y. - At the USTA National Tennis Center Women's College Tennis Invitational, senior Reshmi Srinath won Yale's only singles match of the day. She defeated Army's Marissa Limsiaco 6-1, 6-3 in A singles. Srinath ran into trouble in the second round, falling to South Carolina's Christyn Lucas.
Also competing in A singles, sophomore Rashmee Patil fell 6-2, 6-1 to North Carolina's Aniela Mojzis and just came up short in the consolation bracket, losing 7-6, 7-6 to Laura Ganzer of South Carolina. Patil did earn a victory in A doubles, defeating NC State 8-2 along with partner Aimee Kim.
"We had a tough day out there today," head coach Chad Skorupka said. "Tomorrow we'll be playing in some key consolation matchups and we'd love to end this weekend on more of a positive note."
