Bulldogs Continue Play At Regionals

HANOVER, N.H. - The Bulldogs continued play at the East Regionals in New Hampshire today, as the doubles team of Janet Kim and Jessica Rhee won two matches to advance to the Round of 16.

Kim and Rhee steamrolled over Amanda El-Tobgy and Iva Gyurgina of Seton Hall, 8-0, in the first round, before winning a tough match in the second round over Syracuse's Maria Vasilyeva and Olga Votavova. The Bulldog team actually trailed 6-5 at one point, before coming back to win 8-6.

In other doubles action, Lindsey Dashiell and Lilian Nguyen lost to the No. 6-seeded doubles team, Preethi Mukundan and Laura Peterzan of Harvard, 8-6. Sarah Lederhandler and Christine Alford also lost, to UMBC's Pascaline Cette and Alice Chen, by a score of 8-5. Alford also dropped her singles match, 6-2, 6-4, to an opponent from UMass.
