Philadelphia, Penn. - Sophomore Rashmee Patil led the Bulldogs Saturday at the Wilson/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Eastern Women's Regional Championships at the University of Pennsylvania. In the second day of tournament play, the Texas native advanced to the second round of the singles main draw after defeating a SUNY-Binghamton opponent 6-3, 6-4. However, Patil and doubles partner Aimee Kim ran into trouble against the tournament's top seeded doubles team from Penn State, losing 8-3.
On Sunday, Patil returns to action and senior Reshmi Srinath, a 17-32 seed, plays her first singles match of the tournament.
