Bulldogs Complete Day Two at Yale Invitational

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Bulldogs completed day two at the Yale Invitational Friday at the newly dedicated Cullman-Heyman Center. Yale players advanced to the finals in five of the six singles and doubles draws.

Freshman Vicky Brook won her semifinals match over Boston University's Stefanie Nunic 6-3, 6-2 to advance to the finals of the blue singles draw. She will face Penn State's Monika Mical Sunday.

In the white singles draw, sophomore Lindsay Clark rolled to a straight set 6-0, 6-2 win over Boston University's Cori Lefkowith to advance to the finals. She will face Penn State's Denisa Zobeideh Sunday.

Junior Sarah Lederhandler advanced to the finals of the silver singles draw with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Boston University's Liz Corrao.

In the blue doubles draw, senior Janet Kim and sophomore Lauren Ritz advanced to the finals with two victories Saturday. Kim and Ritz won their first match 8-5 and their second match 8-3.

Lederhandler and senior Lilian Nguyen won two matches Saturday to advance to the finals of the silver doubles draw. The duo won its first match 8-2, and won its second match 8-2.
