The Yale women's team begins its biggest tournament of the fall Friday, heading to Philadelphia for the ITA East Regional Championships, hosted by Penn.
The qualifying rounds of the tournament take place Friday. Sophomores Olivia Nix and Aimee Kim will represent Yale in the singles qualifying rounds. Nix and senior Reshmi Srinath will try to qualify in doubles.
Srinath and sophomore Rashmee Patil have already qualified for the singles main draw, which gets underway Saturday. Srinath is a 17-32 seed.
The Bulldogs will be playing for spots in the national tournament. Both singles finalists and the doubles champions qualify for the ITA Indoor National Championships, held in Dallas the first weekend in November.
