A Third All-American Honor for Kate Grace

Senior is 13th at Nationals

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Senior Kate Grace was honored for her performance at the NCAA Divison I Championship last weekend with second-team All-American accolades. She placed 13th overall in the one mile run with a time of 4:43.07. Grace has previously earned All-American honors twice in the 800-meter run, once indoors and once outdoors. Last weekend was her fifth appearance at an NCAA Championship in seven collegiate track seasons.

Grace's time at the meet was the second-fastest in school history, after her previous mark this season of 4:39.52. Prior to this year, the school record had stood at 4:43.56 since 2006 (set by Lindsay Donaldson '08). Grace also holds the school record in the 800-meter run indoors (2:04.72) and the 1,500-meter run outdoors (4:24.57).

Grace will next compete at the Sam Howell Invitational in Princeton, N.J. on Apr. 1.
