Track and Field to Host Columbia, Dartmouth

Annual Tri-Meet Held in New Haven in 2013

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's track and field team will welcome squads from Columbia and Dartmouth to Coxe Cage this Sunday as Ivy League competition begins in the 2013 season. This is the first scored meet the Bulldogs will compete in this year, and they will get a chance to hone their competitive spirits before diving into championship season in late February. Columbia has not yet participated in any meets this season, and will shake off the winter rust this weekend.

The Bulldogs are itching to start the Ivy League season after posting impressive performances last week at the Yale Invitational. Freshman Karleh Wilson and sophomore Alisha Jordan wrote their names on the Yale top-10 lists in the shot put and the triple jump, respectively. The rest of the Yale track and field class of 2016 has also performed well thus far in the season.

The meet will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the weight throw. Running events will start at 1:00 p.m. with trials of the 60-meter hurdles. A full schedule is available at Results will be available at when they are available.
