SACRAMENTO, Calif.—This Sunday, Yale alum Kate Grace '11 had the opportunity to compete among some of the best athletes in the country at the USA Track and Field Championships in Sacramento, Calif. Though Grace was up against an extremely competitive field during Friday's preliminary round of the 1,500-meter run, she earned her spot in the finals with a fourth-place finish.

Sunday's race included the twelve athletes who had qualified for the race on Friday. Though Grace did not quite meet her time from earlier in the week, she finished 11th overall as the only representative of Oiselle running company in the finals. She posted a time of 4:18.97. Jenny Simpson—an American Olympian sponsored by New Balance—snagged first place (4:04.96).

Complete results for the meet are available here.

While at Yale, Grace was a four-time All-American and earned three school records. She has since honed her skills in the 800 and 1,500-meter races by training with the New Jersey*New York Track Club. The former Bulldog recently moved to Bend, Ore. to continue her running career.
