  • Bulldogs to Compete at Penn Relays, Springtime Invitational

    The Bulldogs will have yet another busy weekend of competition as part of the team heads South to the Penn Relays and the rest stays in New Haven to compete at the final home meet of the season, the Yale Springtime Invitational.
  • Bulldogs Compete at Auburn, Mark T. Young and Virginia

    This weekend the Yale women’s track and field team competed in three different meets around the country. A select group of sprinters accompanied by thrower Emma Vasen and pole vaulter Erin Gerardo traveled to the Auburn Invitational in Auburn, Alabama, while distance runners Samantha Friborg and Andrea Masterson ran at the Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville, VA and a remaining group of Bulldogs stayed in New Haven to compete in Yale’s own Mark T. Young Invitational.

    The Ivy League released its list of student-athletes selected for 2018-19 Academic All-Ivy honors in its winter sports today. There were 10 Bulldogs who thrived in their sport and in the classroom, as starters or key reserves on an officially recognized varsity team with 3.0 or better cumulative grade point averages honored.

The Bulldogs brought a large cohort down to New Jersey to match up against other Ivy League teams including Princeton and Dartmouth and squads from around the northeast like Villanova and Boston College. If Saturday’s meet was any indicator, the Elis are poised for a very successful outdoor season.

Although the Bulldogs fell to the Tigers and the Crimson, there were many impressive individual finishes. The hosts of the meet, Princeton, took the team competition. Many Yale athletes earned themselves spots on, or moved up, the Yale all-time performance list in the process of setting new lifetime bests.
