Bulldogs Win HYP Meet by One Point

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Yale narrowly won the annual HYP meet with a score of 61 points, as compared to Princeton's 60 and Harvard's 21 this Saturday afternoon at Harvard's Gordon Track.

Margo Angelopoulos was dominant in the throwing events, winning the shot put (12.68 meters) and the weight throw (15.37 meters). Her distance in the weight throw moves her up to No. 5 all-time in school history.

Joslyn Woodard and Olakitan Awolesi took first and second in the long jump with distances of 5.63 and 5.50 meters. In the triple jump, Awolesi also took second (11.82 meters) behind Dionna Thomas (11.96 meters).

Molly Lederman continued her streak in the pole vault, winning with a height of 3.70 meters.

Lindsay Donaldson won the 800-meter run (2:14.46) and was second in the mile run (4:44.98), nearly breaking her school record of 4:44.97.

In the sprints, Katrina Castille took first in the 60-meter dash (7.70), while Katherine Dlesk was second in the 400 (57.93). The 4x400-meter relay team was 2nd (3:57.33).
