Yale Stands Third at Heps With 21 Points

Feb. 26, 2005

With 21 points, Yale stands third at the Heps after the first day of action in what is the Ivy League championship. Molly Lederman won the pole vault and Joslyn Woodard came in first in the long jump to help the Elis earn points.

Ledermans vault of 12'5.5" was good for first, while Woodard earned a length of 19'09.75" to win that contest.

Several other Eli runners qualified for the finals in their events. Katrina Castille and Woodard will run tomorrow in the 60m dash finals, having ran times of 7.85 and 7.63 in the prelims. Woodard's time was the fastest in the prelims, and so was her 200m time of 24.75 that sends her into the finals tomorrow.

In the 400m run, Vanessa Mazandi finished in 2:10.79 to move into the finals.
