Woodard Wins Three as Elis Defeat Princeton, Fall to Penn

Junior Joslyn Woodard won the 100- and 200-meter dashes as well as the long jump as the Bulldogs defeated Princeton but fell to Penn at a tri-meet between the teams.

The final score was 84 points for Penn, 72 for Yale and 47 for Princeton.

Woodard finished with times of 12.15 and 24.72 in the 100 meter and 200 meter dashes, respectively. Her long jump distance of 5.88 meters gave her the third first place finish of the day.

Vanessa Mazandi won the 800 meter run in 2:12.42, while Lindsay Donaldson was victorious in the 1500 run, finishing in 4:29.24.

In field events, Molly Lederman pole vaulted 3.8 meters to win that event, and Dionna Thomas won the triple jump with a distance of 11.78 meters. Erica Davis earned first in the discus, throwing 42.41 meters.

The Elis host Harvard next weekend.
