CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The competition was close Saturday afternoon at Harvard's McCurdy track as the 4x400-meter relay was the event to determine the winner for the meet. Jennifer Lin anchored the relay team to a win (3:56.38) and thus secured victory for the Bulldogs. Yale won with 86 points, as compared to Harvard's 77.
Erica Davis and Margo Angelopoulos took first and second in the hammer throw (47.05, 45.64 meters), discus (43.04, 40.73 meters), and the shot put (13.54, 12.34 meters), scoring over a fourth of the team's points.
Katherine Dlesk, who also ran on the winning 4x400-meter relay, won the 400-meter hurdles (1:04.99) and the 400-meter run as well (58.33), a very tough triple.
Lindsay Donaldson doubled and won the 3,000 (9:27.60) and 1,500-meter runs (4:30.97).
Dionna Thomas and Olakitan Awolesi went one-two in the triple jump with distances of 12.05 and 11.72 meters. Molly Lederman and Ashley Nolet also went one-two in the pole vault with a height of (3.50 meters).
