Woodard Leads Yale to Fourth at Heps

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Records fell as Yale ended up fourth with 91 points, but it was not enough as Cornell won with 152.5 points. Joslyn Woodard was selected as the meet's Most Outstanding Performer after winning the long jump and 200-meter dash in new meet records. She also won the 100-meter dash.
By this point, Woodard has won a total of 20 Heps titles, the most in the history of the Ivy League. Her time of 23.73 in the 200-meter dash beats her own school record of 24.06. Her leap of 20'9" tops her own school record of 20'5.75". Her time of 11.82 in the 100-meter dash nearly broke her own school record of 11.78.
Woodard was also on the 4x100-meter relay team, which placed second with a school record time of 46.33. The other members of the team were Cathy Bader, Ola Awolesi and Katrina Castille. The old record was 46.49, which Woodard helped run in 2003.
Erica Davis broke her own school record when she placed second in the discus with a throw of 155'11". Her old record was 155'10".
Another second place finisher was Dionna Thomas in the triple jump with a distance of 41'3".
Lindsay Donaldson was third in the 3,000-meter run (9:35.55).
