4x800 Relay Team Ranked Third Going into Finals at ECACs

PRINCETON, N.J. - Molly Lederman was Yale's sole source of points during competition Saturday afternoon at the 2006 ECAC Track & Field Championships. Vaulting at host Princeton's Weaver Stadium, Lederman was third with a height of 3.80 meters.
The 4x800-meter relay team was impressive in preliminaries, running 9:00.71, barely missing Yale's top-10 all-time list, with the 10th time being 9:00.36. They are ranked third going into finals.
Erica Davis was ninth out of 28 competitors in the discus with a throw of 44.47 meters.
In the 100-meter dash, Katrina Castille qualified for semifinals with a time of 12.27, but did not move on to finals, running 12.12, which was 13th overall.
On Friday afternoon, Claire Hamilton competed in the 3000-meter steeplechase and placed seventh with a time of 10:52.23.
Competition will resume on Sunday.
