West Haven, CT - Molly Lederman took third place in the pole vault (3.85m) as Yale continued competition at the ECAC Championships Saturday at the Dewitt Cuyler Athletic Complex. Lederman finished just behind Northeastern's Laura Chmielewski (3.95m). Teammate Ashley Nolet was 15th (3.45).

Joslyn Woodard overcame the disappointment of three straight fouls in the long jump -- which kept her out of the finals -- and went on to finish fifth in the 200-meter dash trials (24.59), qualifying for the finals Sunday at 2:15. Also qualifying for the finals was the 4x100-meter relay team (7th, 47.00), which will run again Sunday at noon, and the 4x800-meter relay team (2nd, 8:55.20), which will run again Sunday at 2:55. Yale finished 16th in the 4x400-meter relay trials (3:51.62).

Also in action Saturday were Ashley Campbell (14th in the 1500-meter run at 4:31.97, Katrina Castille (20th in the 100-meter dash trials at 12.20), and Sarah Mendillo (26th in the javelin throw at 34.21 meters).

In addition to the qualifiers from Saturday, Yale also has Lisa Wygant in the high jump competition (10:30 am), Dionna Thomas in the triple jump (12:30 pm) and Cara Kiernan in the 3000-meter run (2:30 pm).

Overall, Yale is 11th out of 35 teams with 13 points.
