The Bulldogs kicked off their 2005/2006 campaign with a strong showing in the Lidlifter Invite on Saturday at the Coxe Cage in New Haven, Conn. Yale captured seven first place finishes on the day.
The first place finishers included, Joslyn Woodard in the 200-meter dash (25.62) and in the long jump (5.71 meters), Katie Dlesk in the 400-meter dash (57.81), Kristin Farley in the 1-mile run (5:09.29), Katie Greene in the 500-meter run (1:18.50), Molly Lederman in the pole vault (3.81 meters) and Kelly Moore in the weight throw (14.25 meters).
The Bulldogs had a number of other top finishes at the meet as well. Dlesk came in second in the 200-meter dash thanks to a time of 26.24, while Sharifa Love finished third in the 400-meter dash (1:00.47).
Ashley Nolet took home a second place finish in the pole vault (3.35 meters), Dionna Thomas came in second in the triple jump (11.97 meters) and Margo Angelopoulos finished second in the shot put (12.53 meters).
The Bulldogs will be back in action on Jan. 14 when they host the Yale Invitational in New Haven, Conn. The meet will begin at 9 a.m.
