Three Bulldogs Named All-Ivy
May 12, 2008
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Three athletes from the Yale women's track and field team were named second team all-Ivy by virtue of their finishes at the Heptagonal Championship, hosted this year at Yale on May 10 and 11. Athletes are given either first or second team all-Ivy honors based solely on their finish at the Heptagonal Championship; if an athlete finished first or second in their event, they will receive this honor for each event they placed that highly in.
Senior Lindsay Donaldson will receive two second team all-Ivy honors for her second place finishes in both the 3,000 and 5,000-meter runs. The many-time all-Ivy honoree ran 9:42.14 and 16:41.32 in the 3,000 and 5,000 respectively.
Freshmen Kate Grace and Emily Standish will both receive their first of hopefully many all-Ivy honors for their second place finishes in the 800-meter run and high jump respectively. Grace ran 2:07.48 and Standish jumped five feet, five and one half inches (1.69 meters).
