Katherine Dlesk (Andover, MA) was recently elected captain for the 2006-2007 season. She is the team's top 400-meter hurdler and recently placed third in that event at Heps with a time of 1:02.13, which is eighth fastest in school history.
Dlesk has proven her toughness to the team time and time again, most notably through her performance at the meet versus Harvard in which she won the 400-meter dash (58.33), 400-meter hurdles (1:04.99) and ran on the winning 4x400-meter relay (3:56.38), which is an incredibly hard triple.
During the 2004-2005 season, Dlesk placed fourth in the 400-meter hurdles at Heps with a two-second personal record and was a finalist in the 400-meters indoors. In addition to her new leadership role, she will be counted on to contribute in all the 400-meter events next year.
As a graduate of Phillips Andover Academy, Dlesk was a New England Prep School champion multiple times and is also Andover's school record holder in the 400-meter dash and 300-meter hurdles.
