Bulldogs Ready for NCAA Regionals

The Bulldogs are competing this weekend at North Carolina A&T in the 2006 NCAA East Regional Track and Field Championship. Yale was 20th last year with 10 points earned by Molly Lederman (pole vault) and Lindsay Donaldson (5000-meter run).
A number of outstanding athletes will be representing Yale at the meet and following is a recap of a few of their achievements to date:
Erica Davis (Shot Put, Discus), Jr., Columbus, NJ
· Played basketball in the winter
· Yale record holder in the discus (47.53 meters)
· 2nd in the discus at Heps
· Yale record holder in the shot put outdoors (14.31 meters)
Lindsay Donaldson (5,000m), So., Lincoln, MA
· Qualified for regionals in the 1,500m as well, but focusing on 5k
· All-American indoors in the mile
· 4 time All-American
· 6th last year at NCAAs in the 5k
· 3rd all-time in the 5k
Claire Hamilton (3,000m Steeplechase), Jr., Guilford, CT
· 3rd all-time with a time of 10:47.18
Molly Lederman (Pole Vault), Sr., Newton, MA
· Won Heps indoors
· Yale record holder indoors (4.10 meters)
· 15th at the NCAA Championship indoors
· Yale record holder outdoors (4.05 meters)
Dionna Thomas (Triple Jump), Sr., Lenexa, KS
· 2nd all-time at Yale with a distance of 12.58 meters
· 2nd at Heps
Joslyn Woodard (Long Jump), Sr., Irvine, CA
· 20 Heps titles, the most in the history of the Ivy League
· Won the 100, 200 and long jump at Heps
· Yale record holder in the 100 (11.78)
· Yale record holder in the 200 (23.73)
· Yale record holder in the long jump (6.33 meters)
· Yale record holder with the 4x100 team from 2006 (46.33)
